Outlanders: Stories of the Displaced (2019)
is a compilation of ten real-life stories from refugees and asylum seekers, whom the author - Séan Ó'Tuathaigh - met while working in the field of refugee resettlement in the US and Ireland.
Like a true pal, Séan offered to give some of the earnings from the book sales to Samos Volunteers. That's just one of dozens of reasons why you should read it.

Displaced Dishes
is a cookbook containing 33 mouthwatering dishes from around the world.
Each recipe was contributed by a resident of the refugee camp in Samos, Greece and 100% of profit sales goes directly to fund services and support to those living in the camp.
Someone described it to me as "the ultimate dinner-party flex" and I won't disagree.

Sligo Sanctuary Runners
is a running club. The group was co-founded by feature writer and broadcaster Graham Clifford and photographer Clare Keogh in Cork in 2018.
Through Sanctuary Runners, Irish residents get to connect with asylum seekers and refugees in Direct Provision and run alongside them in friendship and solidarity
Cool isn't it?
If you're in Sligo and keen to join, just drop me line; we'd love to have you.
